Prickly Pear Cactus
About: This cactus is known for its distinctive flat, oar shaped pads with sharp thorny spines. It blooms a beautiful vibrant flower in shades of yellow, pink, red or magenta. After bloom, the cactus produces a fruit called tuna which has been used in various dishes and traditional medicines.
Application: Filler (Place on floors near tables or window)

Saguaro Cactus
About: The great Saguaro cactus is native to the Sonoran Desert. These giants can live to be nearly 200 years old. Their pleated structure allows them to expand and hold water when provided. They produce a beautiful trumpet shaped white flower.
Application: Thriller. Place along perimeters or wall corners.

Succulents
About: These plants grow not only in the desert but the jungle as well. They store water in their leaves and stems and have a natural waxy coating which acts as a sunscreen.

How to use fake plants in your space
When choosing plants to enhance a space, use these three building blocks: thrills, fills and spills (see below). You can ALWAYS place these plants in decorative pots such as terracotta, turquoise, or patterned clay pots for added decor.
THRILLS:
Tall or large plants that can fill a corner of a room or along the perimeter. Eye catching and tend to bring the eye up.
FILLS:
These plants are medium sized and can fill open spaces in need of color or texture. In, and just below line of site.
SPILLS:
Table toppers. These small plants that can sit in windowsills or decoratively on any table. If you are filling a pot, these are the ones that spill over the edge that create added dimension.
